THE PROBLEM
Consider the simple case where pump flow rates and pump run hours are measured and stored in a data historian. The ability to automatically load this measurement data into the SAP PM module in order to better manage plant floor assets can provide considerable value by providing improved visibility of this measurement data and significantly increasing plant-floor operational efficiencies. This is just one example, there are dozens of others that are equally applicable.
THE SOLUTION
For a fixed price, we configure and deploy an OPC to SAP solution that takes your plant floor data (like pump run-hours) and uploads it to your SAP system and, if required, also downloads master data (like pump run-hour measurement targets) from SAP to your shop floor systems.
1. Post Measurement Data to SAP
Plant floor equipment Measurement Data (such as pump run-hours, etc.) are posted to the SAP PM module via Measurement Documents against existing Measurement Points on Equipment or Functional Locations on a periodic basis.
2. Retrieve Measurement Targets from SAP
Measurement Targets from existing Measurement Points on Equipment or Functional Locations in the SAP PM module are downloaded on a periodic basis. The interface handles n-to-n cross-referencing of Equipment labels between your plant-floor systems and SAP.
